What People Are Saying About Dan
Daniel K. Inouye, the most senior member of the United States Senate, has quietly made his mark as a can-do legislator, working to benefit all of Hawaii. He has fought for jobs, quality education for our keiki, better infrastructure for our islands, and a cleaner environment. This is the work he's done since he was first elected in to the Senate in 1962, and this is the work he'll continue to do in 2010.
People across Hawaii are talking about how Senator Dan has helped them and delivered for Hawaii. These are their stories.

“Today, there are nearly 50 Federal Community Health Centers and service sites up and running on the islands of Kaua‘i, O‘ahu, Moloka‘i, Lana‘i, Maui, and the Big Island. With a collective staff of 1,355 professionals and an annual budget of $116 million, they serve more than 117,000 patients each year, including children and adolescents, senior citizens, and the uninsured and under-insured. These centers have received more than $11 million in federal stimulus funds to expand services, purchase new equipment, and upgrade facilities. Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Health Services recently received a large stimulus capital grant of $1.5 million to expand their facilities in the heart of urban Honolulu. Additionally, the Community Clinic of Maui opened its new clinic doors with the help of $9.6 million in federal funds.”
