What People Are Saying About Dan
Daniel K. Inouye, the most senior member of the United States Senate, has quietly made his mark as a can-do legislator, working to benefit all of Hawaii. He has fought for jobs, quality education for our keiki, better infrastructure for our islands, and a cleaner environment. This is the work he's done since he was first elected in to the Senate in 1962, and this is the work he'll continue to do in 2010.
People across Hawaii are talking about how Senator Dan has helped them and delivered for Hawaii. These are their stories.

“Kaua‘i’s largest tech and industrial employer is the Pacific Missile Range Facility. Senator Dan Inouye has helped secure over $1 billion – including $38 million in stimulus funds – to upgrade its equipment and facilities, plus an additional $68.5 million to build an Advanced Radar Detection Laboratory, both resulting in more high-paying local jobs. PMRF also supports Kaua‘i’s private sector by serving as a magnet for high-tech companies, including those headquartered at the $3.8 million West Kaua‘i Technology Center, another federally funded partnership project spearheaded by the Senator. The Center also serves as a technology education and training site for the west side of the Island. This public-private partnership allows Kaua‘i’s best and brightest to stay – or return – home to work in their science and engineering fields, supporting their families and contributing to their communities.”
