U.S. SENATOR DANIEL K. INOUYE AND OTHER DEMOCRATIC PARTY CANDIDATES TO PERFORM AT “FILIPINOS GOT TALENT” RALLY
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23 (9 AM - 1 PM)
HONOLULU – Hawai‘i’s Democratic candidates will display their Filipino talent Saturday, October 23 (9am - 1pm), at the Filipino Community Center in Waipahu. The event is sponsored by the Coordinated Campaign of the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i.
DEMOCRATIC OFFICIALS AND CANDIDATES PERFORMING:
U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye will play Dahil Sayo (“Because of you”) on the piano.
Colleen Hanabusa for 1st Congressional District will join Senate Seargent-at-Arms Bienvenido Villaflor in song.
U.S. Representative Mazie K. Hirono will lead the crowd in a Filipino sing-a-long song.
Neil Abercrombie for Governor will dance the traditional Filipino Waltz.
Brian Schatz for Lt. Governor will perform a hip-hop version of the tinkling.
There will be FREE food, display booths and door prizes, including a round-trip ticket to the Philippines. Family fun includes a lumpia eating contest, linubian pounding and banda kawayan.
