SENATOR INOUYE AND DEMOCRATIC PARTY CANDIDATES TO ATTEND YOUNG DEMOCRATS’ PAU HANA EVENT

HONOLULU—- Join U.S. Senators Daniel K. Inouye, Daniel K. Akaka and U.S. Representative Mazie K. Hirono at Oceans 808 Thursday evening for pau hana drinks, pupus and news about the Democratic candidates in the upcoming election.

The Young Democrats of Hawaii, a caucus of the Democratic Party of Hawaii, is hosting the free Young Professionals Pau Hana on Thursday, October 21 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm at Oceans 808 at Waterfront Plaza.  All Democratic party candidates and elected officials were invited.

The purpose of this event is to engage young professionals in the political process by introducing them to candidates and elected officials.  It is also an opportunity for our elected officials and candidates to hear from the future leaders of Hawaii.

Young professionals from the business community, William S. Richardson School of Law, the State Legislature, labor unions, and other industries will be in attendance.

The Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign’s slogan this year is “No Na Mamo O Hawai’i: For the Future Generations”, and this event is one way they hope to engage young voters.
